Liver disorders
The liver is one of the largest vital organs in the human body, where the synthesis of structural components, the removal of toxins and the production of biochemical substances essential for the digestion of food, such as bile, take place. Liver disorders are highly heterogeneous, ultimately leading to a burden on liver function and, in many of them, even to inflammation of the organ, known as hepatitis. A common phenomenon is fatty infiltration, caused not only by excessive alcohol intake but also by visceral fat resulting from misguided eating behaviour and food choices.
At Eatsmart we know that children’s nutrition can be an enormous challenge for parents. The goal, through our collaboration with the child and the parents, is the gradual improvement of the child’s food choices. It is important to understand that children do not go on a diet — they learn to eat well!
