Post-operative nutrition

After surgery, nutrition is adjusted according to the type of operation that has been performed and the route by which food is given (normal oral intake, or enteral or parenteral nutrition), for the more effective nourishment and recovery of the patient. Good post-operative nutrition appears to be one of the main factors in reducing the patient’s post-operative weakness and speeding their recovery.

The Eatsmart team knows that special conditions call for a different approach to nutrition.
